Description

I had put in several Maintenance requests for the floor damage, paint damge, and baseboard damage before giving my notice to leave the apartment for damage caused to my apartment caused by a water leak from the floor above causing my ceiling and ventilation ducts to fall down to the floor damaging the paint and base boards throughout the entire apartment These requests were canceled by the property management stating I had given notice to vacate, however I had made the maintenance request days ahead of me giving my notice to vacate So they just canceled them on February 2nd when I gave my notice to leave on February 5th So it's clear they ignored my request o days then once they saw I gave notice they canceled all my work requests so they could ultimately take my entire security deposit The ceiling and ventilation duct collapse led to flooding and scratching of my floors from the actual collapse of the ceiling and vent and also from maintenance dragging ladders in and out Also they left my apartment with a gaping holes and just aimed a standard box fan up to the area of water damage for only 2 days, I asked them to please prevent mold growth from the dampness still present when they came to repair the ventilation duct and the hole in the ceiling They assured me they would do a mold test in a couple months and they would put in the work order I was never compensated for my inconvenience or even offered an apology for the major disruptions that interrupted my work schedule at the time as I was working night shift and had to sleep during the day and that was the only time they were willing to do repairs, so this actually cost me lost wages for a few days as well I have emailed them several times to ask why this happened and have yet to get a response I believe that they should at least give me my security deposit back or a large portion of it They seem to alter their records but the dates show when I submitted the work order and also shows when they canceled them, all days before they even knew I was going to give my notice to leave This seems highly suspicious possibly illegal as well They seem to retaliate when I inquire about specific issues, and since I am still currently living in the same complex I am afraid they might try to evict me or make things more difficult for me o
